Investor Readiness Fellowship (IRF)

Course description

The African Venture Philanthropy Alliance (AVPA) tackles social challenges holistically by bridging the gap between pure charity and pure business models. A key area of focus is enhancing the understanding, growth, and use of catalytic capital in Africa, with the ultimate goal of attracting private capital for social investments. This is done with a view to driving transformative social impact that will address the SDG financing gap across the continent.

With this in mind, AVPA, in conjunction with Porticus, developed the ‘Investment readiness programme’ to pilot an innovative approach to supporting non-profits to start their journey towards building sustainable, self-reliant and innovative business model approaches, while remaining true to their core mission.
