The MajiFund facility addresses the funding gapvwith ticket sizes in the USD 50,000–350,000 range. During these loans, companies receive (in case necessary) additional catalytic grants and pre- and post-investment technical assistance (TA) to ensure their ability to repay, grow their companies and scale their impact. GoSoft Integrated Technology Solutions received a loan of USD 150,000 in KES at an interest rate of 6%, paired with USD 25,000 technical assistance for technical support and technology integration to enhance the smart water meter platform.
Crystal Africa received a USD 40,000 loan in KES at an interest rate of 8%, a USD20,000 grant with the goal to solidify the company, and provide a strong basis to support expansion into the area of waste and exhauster services and faecal sludge management. This was paired with technical assistance of USD 10,000 for strategic coaching, leadership development, and sales team development.
