HEVA Fund Case Study

Founded in 2013, HEVA Fund LLP is the first dedicated investment vehicle for Africa’s creative and cultural industries. It has supported over 20,000 practitioners and invested in more than 200 enterprises across fashion, film, music, gaming, and digital content.

HEVA focuses on unlocking the potential of creative enterprises to drive innovation, job creation, and inclusion. HEVA’s investments demonstrate how targeted financing and ecosystem support can accelerate the growth and impact of Africa’s creative economy. HEVA Fund’s investments include:

 

Azizi Life Limited (Rwanda), partnering with Rwandan artisans to create and distribute beautifully designed, handcrafted goods through fair trade; Afriset Tailors (Kenya), a women-led fashion enterprise advancing youth employment; Nafasi Art Space (Tanzania), strengthening artistic and entrepreneurial capacity and creating platforms for emerging artists to showcase their work; Skyline Media & Management (Uganda), collaborating with multidisciplinary creators, including artists, poets, filmmakers, animators, fashion designers, and game developers, to design and deliver innovative media solutions; and Signs Media (Kenya), promoting accessibility through sign language broadcasting.
